Should i replace my CPUs thermal paste

So i have had my PC for about 5 years.

And i dont know if i need to replace the thermal paste.

should i and is it needed. ?

I've heard depending on the paste, every two years or so is a good interval as otherwise it just dries up. Yes, replace it with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.

 

EDIT: I bet you'll see a thermal improvement as well. I've repasted 10+ year old laptops and their temps dropped by 15C.

How old is your PC?

^ OK, so I'm a complete idiot - I didn't see the first line of the original post. Anyway...

As per @TempestCatto, you may want to use a different thermal paste. Whichever one you want to use is up to you.

I change mine every year, around may, when it start to get hot

Every year? That's fine, but I think two years is a good margin for replacement if the PC had a relatively good life.

Well i do it each year and clean the PC too

I have 8 fans (CPU Included)  they need to get clean

It’s a good practice to change thermal paste once a year or two, but in general if the temps are fine there’s nothing to worry about.
