Requesting monitor recommendations.

SansVarnic

My current setup (found in my signature) 2 of the 3 monitors are going bad, one took damage from moving it and the other was a lemon that is slowly having an issue. But anyhow, I am looking to replace/upgrade all three.

What I am looking for is;

  • 24-27inch - I want to increase from the current 21.5 inch I currently have.
  • Able to daisy chain - preferred.
    • If there is nothing that does this any more I will accept going without it.
  • Thin bevel - preferred.
  • 1440 or higher but if I have to settle for less I will.
  • Price point is not an issue for recommendations but please keep recommendations from being outrageously high, I dont want/need top tier.
  • Widescreen is good.
  • I am Not Brand biased.
  • Speakers - optional but not needed.

I am only asking as I have not had time to do any research and I may not get much done in the near future before the damaged screen dies entirely. I am asking for input so I can see what is out there and so I dont miss a brand/product that I would miss in the limited time I have to research for new screens.

Thank you for the help.

"Outrageously high" isn't really a quantifiable metric for us to go off of. It changes person to person. For example, I'm fine paying $2k for a monitor.

Do you have a max amount for budget?

Check out the link.

Anything bar the Phillips Momentum 42" , in the top 25 or so is good. That particular monitor uses a TV panel that has some issues with fringing.

Gunna throw this info out to you as well.

LG is releasing their 48" OLED this year. Perhaps consider getting a single large display ?

3840 x 2160  at 120hz via HDMI 2.1 (so ull need a 2020 GPU with HDMI 2.1)

VRR and BFI

A 48" 4k (16:9) display can display a a ultra wide rez like 3840 x 1440 resulting in an effective 44" ultra wide image if u desire the ultrawide experience in game. or even a 3840 x 1080 super ultra wide experience at 43".

It's not necessary but at least 75hz if possible, current set up is running 60.

Let's say $200 - $500USD per monitor max.

Those are good recommendations but I'm not looking to replace the GPU in this machine, it meets my current needs. GPU upgrade will go into my next rig.

If I can justify the cost for the monitor I'll consider it.

I guess I should state that this machine, though it is my main rig, doesnt game much and hasn't in the past 3 years. I dont plan to game any current AAA games in the near future, I mostly do office work and system management nowadays mostly. The multi-screen set up is perfect for this usage.

I may consider going super wide like @SolarNova has suggested but at this time I'm not sure yet.

Keep the suggestions coming. Thank you. ?
