What SSD does this slot use?

Go to solution Solved by Juular,

That's M.2 M-key, supports B+M keyed M.2 SSDs too.

Heya!, Needed a little help on knowing what slot my laptop uses, because I really don't know what SSD to buy, currently using an Asus A507U-FEJ153T (can't seem to find anything using this name) or known as Asus X507UF-BR003T from my bios info.  The picture Iv'e attached shows a 4 pin connector on the right side. I'm puzzled right now please help Thanks!

That is an M.2 slot for an M.2 form factor SSD. It appears to support NVMe PCIe SSDs, however ASUS's website says that it only supports SATA mode SSDs even though they also advertise Optane which I believe uses NVMe itself. A bit confusing.

Workstation:

Intel Core i7 6700K | AMD Radeon R9 390X | 16 GB RAM

Mobile Workstation:

MacBook Pro 15" (2017) | Intel Core i7 7820HQ | AMD Radeon Pro 560 | 16 GB RAM
