Black border issue on msi monitor

HummusCake

I have a msi optix g241vc 75hz monitor, And i've recently noticed these thin about 1/2" border all around the display. At first i thought this is was a scaling issue so i messed around with my settings. Turns out if i unplug hdmi nad turn display off, I can still see the border and i have no clue what to do. It makes my screen looking weird (mostly visible on the top and right side

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Well you should think RMA it.....

If the monitor is off and they are still visible, it's probably by design. Have you seen the monitor working with thinner borders on purchase?

I just googled my problem and it seems to be an issue on other models, But this would be awful if it was by design because you have essentially "bezels" on the display

Well since i bought it from amazon, the shipping will take 2 weeks and then i wait for a repair or if it doesn't need a repair and if its by design then its a waste of time. I'll contact msi and see whats up with this

I've had that on an LG ultrawide 25 inch monitor. If they are different width on the sides, or it didn't show before, you might as well try and RMA case and check with their support.

Not sure if you mean these bezels, but this is a screenshot from the MSI website of the 241c:image.png.a59e32b1816e6bcc6dd2fdcbc241569c.png

Because display technology isn't capable of manufacturing truly bezelless panels yet (or they're expensive), you can see small bezels on literally any other 'bezelless' display or TV.

I don't think this is what he's talking about. These panels are slim bezeled. I have a new msi optix g273qf. The picture went all the way to the edge when I first plugged in. Then my nvidia drivers updated and i have the same black borders now. Messed with scaling in nvidia panel, nothing.

Here's an example of my issue. I assume OP has same issue.

have you ever noticed that these bezels are still there when you turn off the monitor? you're basically saying Nvidia drivers physically altered your monitor creating these bezels?
