I did make sure nothing was running in the background and even then then its underperforming. Is it because the power setting is in balanced mode?

Try high performance; monitor frequency during test once to see if it drops, then again with monitori g software off to remove it from taking away score

Has a 2600x on phantom motherboard and elusive memory settings.

How can any one help people in this forum. you'd think by now it would be standard practice to include all you system specs man.

XFR2..... there is no XFR2. There's only XFR and that relates to single core boosting and does not apply to all core loads.

Help us help you Destroyer.

You mean XMP1/2 my brother. It's ok to be new!!!!

The best thing you can do, is put your rig specs into the Sig, like how you see mine and other guys here!! Super easy. Click your name top right, click account settings, and on the left, you'll see edit signature.

What is the exact specs of the memory (part number) and what exactly are you running them at?

I did put my specs under my profile.

The ram specs is c16 and im using a xmp2 which is running at 2933mhz.

Regarding XFR2 people said that it is know as core performance boost.

https://amp.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/a4yo2p/im_confused_about_xfr2_ryzen_5_2600x/

Anyways why im a getting a lower score even when im at a higher frequency?

Signature which shows at the bottom of every post. Not your profile setup that I have to click and veer from the thread.......

CPB

PBO

XFR

are all 3 different OC SenseMi Features.

You want to increase PBO. Over ride to desired over boost clock frequency in steps of 25 or 50mhz to 200mhz over all core boost.

And what timings are you running that memory?

How do i overide over boost clock settings on msi b450 tomahawk max mobo because when i go on advanced cpu settings it just shows PBO enable/disable or manual and core performance boost.

And i dont know the timings as i am not using my pc now.

The timings for 2933mhz is 16-20-20-38

It is still under performing

Ouch. Timings are way super loose for that frequency.

For comparison, my hynix corsair are 15-17-17 XMP. However with gear down enabled by default they run 16-17-17.

So, the sticks are just going to be tough to work with.

When i dont use PBO i get a score of 1327 when i use PBO then i get a score of 1360. It is still underforming because a stock ryzen 5 2600x should be getting 1379

Those timings are used when i use a xmp. Could this be the cause of this issue?

Start at 16-18-18. 1.35v not stable or no post, up to 1.40v.

I didn't read everything.  On Zen platform memory at 2133mhz or 3600mhz does not affect CineR20, or R15 (nor does timings, CL18 or CL14 I have both kits).  While I haven't been able to test Zen+ I haven't had anyone tell me that it matters for Cine except within margin of error.

The best way to get the highest score is core clock, on all core.  OC your chip to an all core and you will get better results.  For me with R7 1700 its about 100 points per 100mhz increase on the cores.

Also check if you are thermal throttling.  I had to build a custom loop to do a CineR20 run with my OC.

Yes i overclocked it at 4ghz but still getting lower scores. People are getting higher scores than me at stock settings.

Also, it is not throttling

1.) You are benching at 3.6ghz, or Cine is really struggling to read your OC.  My Cine runs show the OC on the bar graph, on the details in the upper left etc at correct OC settings.  Is your frequency at 4000mhz on each core during the entire run?

Stock settings on your link show it getting not even 100 points more than you on your runs.  Margin of error.  Its 4.3ghz OC does handily beat your 3.6ghz runs.

If you are using software to OC maybe that is your problem.  I only OC with BIOS and I don't have this issue.

Also heres how to get that score to 1400 (they got 1403 score) like on the review benchmarks.

1.) You likely have some programs running at startup you aren't aware of.  You wont nothing taking CPU horsepower to ensure you are getting the best possible score.  Double check that.  Also ensure the CPU load is 0-1% max and has stabilized as such after booting.

2.) Don't have anything else open.  Anything.  At. All.

3.) Open Task manager after opening CineR15, set affinity to Real Time (this will cause the PC to appear to be locked up once you hit the run button, just let it finish its pass)

4.) After completing steps 1-3 and before hitting the RUN button, drag the entire program off screen (bottom right of screen) so that basically the Run button shows, everything else off screen.  Hit run - if you do steps 3 and 4 alone that will net you another 60-70 points.
