I can't decide what CPU to buy.

XR6

Hi,
I've made 3 PCPP part lists, but I just can't decide which one of them to buy.

Here are the part lists:
1. Ryzen 5 3600, B450 motherboard, 16GB RAM and a Corsair TX650M PSU (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/D7Gq6s)
2. Ryzen 5 2600, B450 motherboard, 16GB RAM and a Corsair TX650M PSU (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Xh2jZf)
3. Ryzen 5 1600, B450 motherboard, 16GB RAM and a Corsair TX650M PSU (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/qsXgb8)

Which of those do you think I should pick?

I have a budget of £400 for the CPU, motherboard, RAM and PSU (or £500 if I wait until next month). I could save some money by buying the PSU later, but I'd only be willing to do so if I think it's worth it.

the R5 3600 one, stays relevant for longer to outweight the cost.

What's the rest of the build? You should be ok with the tx550m

I'll be using a Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+ with it. I'd be fine with the TX550M, but the TX650M is only £5 more so I decided to get it instead. I know I'll never use that extra 100W, but it's nice to have.

Thanks for your help everyone, I appreciate it :)

I'm wondering about which Ryzen gen.

1. Ryzen 5 3600 - Zen 2
2. Ryzen 5 2600 - Zen+
3. Ryzen 5 1600 - Zen

That board shows compatible CPUs up to the 3950. So you've got a good upgrade path for the CPU and faster memory down the road. If your strategy is to get a low buy-in cost now, then upgrade later when you need the processing power, or grab a  higher CPUs when they've come down in price, there's two ways to go: low and upgrade sooner; or, the 3600 so it's relevant & usable for a longer period of time, to give the even higher CPUs more time to drop in price. Are you likely to have money sooner or later, that you're able/willing to spend on upgrading.

PSU: which CPU, video card, etc., are you likely to go for later. Will you need to upgrade the PSU later or is it a better value to get one that meets your eventual needs now?

It may even make sense to save for another month or two (or more?).
