i7-4790k to a Ryzen 3700x, upgrade or wait?

i am going out on a limb here and suggesting the 3600 instead of the 3700. Wait for Zen3 for the 4700x. My suggestion, go for the value play 6C 12thread CPU until next generation.

AMD stated that they've committed to the AM4 stock until 2020 so that would assume Ryzen 4000 compatibility. So I would just get the 3600 and then upgrade to a 4700X when it comes out.

So I don't think they will go below 7 nm tech. Might add more pci e lanes to support duel 16x pci e and or give higher boost speeds to the next gen. But could be wrong!!!

could have faster single core speed than Intel and make amd the fastest cpu's on the market hard to say really

I bought 2nd gen system few months before 3rd gen came out and was a big bump in tech but if you choose to build now I would go with this setup if you want to go lowest cost with Zero bottle necks in your system the ram you picked would have bottled necked your cpu so unless its free..... The m.2 ssd is one of the top fastest benched m.2 drives

The 3800x is actualy cheaper than the 3700x around here. But since i'm building a mini-ITX Rig, cooling is a issue, and i only have a Criorig C7 to throw in.
But yeah, i'm leaning towards upgrading it now.

It would be a lot cheaper to get a 3600... Maybe i could sell it once the new ryzen is out...
