i'm not sure about any graphs comparing the two, but common sense would dictate that the larger fan displaces more air, so would have to spin slower for the same output.

and less RPM = less noise.

I have nf a12x15s 3 supply 1 exhaust.

There pretty quiet for me at 1200rpm

Think the 25s will fair better

What case? Where are the fans being used?

The two can perform similarly but the NF-A14 is generally better when there's a benefit from the wider path of airflow like on a large heatsink that's as wide as the fan.

The NF-A12x25 will have better pressure and is quieter than the A14. But less airflow.

Counter to the usual bigger = quieter, the NF-A12x25 is a newer design.

 

I bought 8x NF-A12x25 over the holidays and have them installed on my rads. At 1000 RPM they are silent, dead silent. At 1300 u here a very very tiny amount of noise from the motors, at 1500 a bit more, BUT crucially compared to most fans even then at 1500rpm they are much quieter than even some of the quietest competitors.

I run them at 1000-1300 (idle - 60c), system doesn't get hotter than that during normal day to day use, inc gaming.

 

For pure airflow, i'd say get the A14's though, they are cheaper after all.
