Lian-Li O11XL HDD temperature question

Algebruh

What is the maximum safe temperature for HDD?

I recently notice that the temperature of my HDD are around 55~57 C at full write/read, 48~50 C at idle.

Will such temperature damages HDD?

My case is Lian-Li O11XL

nope. Not much you can do unless you can somehow wedge a small fan back there and get the air moving around a bit in the back.

Not really. Hitachi drives have a reputation of running hot though, from what I've heard.

That would help. I run dual Corsair SP (Static Pressure) fans in the front of my case and I max out at ~43'C on really hot days, even under load.

Shocks are worse than higher temperatures for hard drives.

See the attached screenshot of the case manual to locate a suitable mount.
