Would a Msi B550 Mortar do the 5800x any justice? Probably going to overclock it in the future.

Yes, the board can easily handle a 5800x.

Alright thank you. I’ve sent my X570 Aorus Master back, as I’m not using it to its fullest as tbh the 3x gen 4 m.2 spot aren’t really necessary. 
 

I’ll go with the Msi B550m Mortar, and get some money in return and a better 360 AIO instead of my 280.

Yes, if BIOS doesnt cause any problems. There's also B450 to look out for at this point

Would  be better x570 tomahawk or b550  gaming edge wifi. Price difference is 40$. Only

major difference noticed was x570 has two heat shields for m2 ssd. Also has pci 4 and few more USB.

So how good is the MSI MEG X570 UNIFY ATX AM4 Motherboard? I'm looking at it for a possible motherboard for a new computer that requires a CPU and Motherboard upgrade, and I'm looking to use a 5600X with it. However, some of the more recent Newegg reviews on the Motherboard have me especially worried. Does anyone have experience with this board or is there another X570 board I should look at?

It's an Ace that got blacked and LEDs removed. In other words, a lot.of it wont be utilized by someone using a 5600X.

 

Dont mind those reviews, there will always be boards that arrive faulty and if there is something serious, there will be more reports than that.

CPU? High end boards like this are typically paired with high end CPUs like the Ryzen 9s. Unless there are features you want and cheaper boards do not offer, there's not much reason to spend extra for a Unify.

You should find a board that matches with the CPU you want to use, not the other way around.

Problem is I need to upgrade my CPU and GPU and MB since my GPU is dying. This is my current line of thought for the build. The PSU I'll hopefully be recycling from my current computer.

The list has plenty of B550.boards too, those should usually be cheaper.

Is it worth trying to put a 5800X ($449) on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro wifi board or should I just plop down another $100 and get a 10850K ($349) on an MSI Gaming edge wifi ($200) Z490? I use a 1440p 165hz monitor and play mostly easier games like APEX and fortnite but I also like to have a second monitor going with youtube or other videos playing. Right now I'm using a R5 3600 and have been having some stuttering issues and low minimum frames showing in Afterburner.

The B450 board is fine if you dont overvolt nor overclock the CPU, but man is the 5800X expensive.

No 10850k is worse. Their performance is similar but because you have to buy a new board, 10850k still costs more overall.

For a ryzen 5 1600af would be better a asrock b450m pro4 or msi b450m pro-vdh max? Asrock costs 2€ more

Hey Jurrunio. Which one should I pick? And why? Please help me. 

- B550-F ROG STRIX for 170USD
- B550-A ROG STRIX for 170USD

- MSI B550-A Pro for 110USD

- B550 Tomahawk for 155USD

I'll probably go for a 5900x. Most likely won't OC.
