Well, prices here are crazy here. The is only 1 seller that has the Aorus pro without wifi. And is more expensive. Same with the Aorus Elite: almost the same price as the Aorus pro.

What about the Aorus elite then? not as good but you dont need that good of a board to run only a 3700x. It shouldnt falter up till the 3950x.

AMD

 

All current draw figures are based on Prime95 small FFT with AVX unless otherwise specified, in other words the worst case scenario. Only the top end SKU of CPUs in the same generation and core/thread count configuration is named, others share the same rating. Zen scales down frequency and voltage according to EDC (current limit) and TDC (thermal limit) settings of the motherboard so in theory you won’t cook the VRM of any board at stock, you just lose frequency.

If you're getting the 3700X, the HDMI ports on the motherboard are meaningless as the 3700X has no integrated graphics. If you need two HDMI ports you'll need to get a video card with two HDMI ports.

No, only the HDMI on the card works. Those on the board can only be driven with an iGPU inside the CPU

Looks like B450M-A in red and 2 memory slots. I dont recommend this.

I see no VRM heatsink. I Guess it's fine for an Athlon 200GE. For a six core cpu, I would not buy it.

Specifically where does the amperage number come from, what does little ambient airflow mean (it seems to me like the example would provide ample airflow, so I'm confused about, well everything about this part I guess). Also when it says maxed out (processor code) does that mean that's the highest chip that tier can handle, and what is it that is maxing out in this case?

I'm sure this has all been explained in depth before, so if you have the link for me that would be greatly appreciated.

You can see that mentioned in tier S of AM4 part

 

Maxed out = Overclocked as much as possible without degrading it quickly (unless otherwise specified) Every CPU has a max it can do before the current and voltage itself is high enough to breakdown the silicon rapidly.
