But if the Win7 has no issues *on the same hardware*, then it's not a hardware issue (or a very very weird one) so skip the Memtest for now (again, assuming the same hard ware) and we'll need to look at a software reason...

Also, look under services, and ensure it's either been removed, or disabled.

Hasn't happened at all so far...hope it doesn't do it again

Another tool that can help you monitor the condition of your machine is "Reliability Monitor", it tracks your computer's history: every time an application crashes, hangs or Windows gives you a blue screen of death. It also tracks other important events, such as when the software is installed and removed or Windows Updates loads a new patch. I have used this tool oftenly almost in every computer I check and I have found very useful info that helps me solve problems.
