I'm going to build a new PC but I am confused on what to go with. I'll be doing some gaming, streaming and light video editing. I haven't build a PC since 2004 so I'm not quite up to date with parts. I have done as much research as I possibly can but I don't want to waste money on something I'll regret down the line. I'm not sure how well this build would do in 4k gaming but I will be using the monitor for other devices that do support 4k.

I'm in need of your guidance. If all goes well I will be ordering the components tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

Here is what I have so far (I can't go too over this budget but I can bump it up a little more if necessary):

This will be a solid OG build, no obvious issues other than personal preference changes, but no need to spend any more on the system. If you wanted you could spend less but if these are the parts you want then it will be perfectly fine!

Spend less on a motherboard

If you still want an x570 board the TUF from asus is good, and about 100$ less.

I’d consider the 3900x just for the 12 cores, would be a bit more help when streaming and editing.

as for case, I’ve worked with the spec omega, and it wasn’t the easiest to work in compared to some others in the same price category. Check out the lian li o11-air. Should be about the same price but so much more space to work with.

edit: changed dynamic to air as that’s the one with better airflow. Dynamic is also pretty good, just has glass in the front panel instead of a vent.

The Lian Li 011 Dynamic was my initial choice but I was worried about the noise from all the fans. I also thought that not populating it with fans would make it look a bit bare. Adding to this I couldn't find a good fan config for a 360 AIO CPU cooler. Again, I open to advice on this subject.

Fans shouldn’t make noise unless they run fast or are low quality, and you can control both.

3900X/2080 Super with a O11Air-RGB for ~$2150.

I knew the LTT community would come to the rescue. I was just wondering if the changes to mobo, ram and cooler were made because they perform better or because of the prices. Thanks again.

Your original cooler was better. The asus tuf motherboard is cheaper, but can handle the 3900 well. I'd go for 3600 c16 ram and the psu you originally had.
