Is my cpu broke?

Yesterday I bought a new computer. It boots up just fine, but whenever Windows runs, the computer bluescreens. I also noticed the cpu cooler isn't working also. Is my cpu broke?

CPU cooler is not CPU itself. Make sure CPU fan is plugged into the CPU Fan header on your motherboard properly. Watch a video of linus or someone building a computer, for 30 minutes of your time you would learn a lot of things.

Well if your cooler isn't working, my guess is its overheating and the blue screen is saving your CPU. Do you have everything plugged in?

The cpu cooler was just connected upside down. I fixed it but the bluescreens keep appearing.

Was this a brand new machine? or a second hand one? If brand new I would return it. If you have dual channel ram I'd try removing 1 stick and boot. if the result is the same, swap the sticks and try booting with the other. Let us know how you make out.

I suggest doing a clean install and see if it works if that's the state you bought it in, I think it's likely Windows is just broken
