Will my ASUS Prime B450-m-a work with 4 cpu power pins?

Go to solution Solved by KingTdiGGiTTy,

Since the 2400g is pretty low power you probably won't have a problem using an adapter, though its a bit sketchy.

It would be better to have a decent PSU.

4 pins (1 connector) supplies 155W. 8 pins (2 connectors) supplies 235W. You should be more than fine as the 2400G is rated at 65W.

If the pins fit I do believe it will work, however that's the kind of sketchiness I reserve for PCs built using used parts.

Standard 8 pin power connectors are half a standard 4 pin, it's not sketchy since it's the same design

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Yeah but if your buying a new motherboard, but your cheap PSU doesn't have an 8-pin, you might be better off buying used.
