I'm looking for a laptop that I can pair with an EGPU. I have a desktop already but from time to time I have travel for extended periods. I'm able to bring a monitor/EGPU with me but hauling around a mid tower is not feasible.

So right now I'm looking for a laptop that's

- <5 lbs

- Can run esport games (League of Legends/CSGO) on its own

- Thunderbolt 3

- $1400 or less

checking newegg, all laptops with T3 than can run an esport without an egpu are over $1600. please don't go to a store and buy something that the clerk says has T3, as most clerks aren't taught the difference between usb 3.0, usb c, and T3 and the advertising they see just say that some are T3 compatible and they're told to just say yes to it having T3.

I think I saw some on sale on black friday that had T3 and could play esports titles on their own, but I don't see those deals right now.

if you're in the US, limit yourself to the brands msi, asus, and razer. sorry I don't have answer for you at this time, but it should help you narrow down the search and always double check that it has T3 cause the product descriptions are always iffy.

Thanks. Yeah the tough part about it is the Thunderbolt port. I've been looking non stop on manufacturer's website but a lot of times it's buried in the specs. Thank you for the input though. I'm considering the Dell XPS 15 with the GTX 1650 at the moment.
