What hardware do you already own?

Just get a 4TB NAS hard drive

That PSU is not worth the money just for being white.

Ill look more into the graphics cards.

The fans for increasing airflow in general.

My current system is an optiplex 980 i7-860 with an hdd, 16 gb of ram and a low profile 1050.

Why specifically should i Get a Nas Hard Drive?

What PSU do you suggest?

What is your budget for everything, and also what monitor do you have? Like the resolution/refresh rate

The RX 5700/XT is just the best GPU for the money atm, has 80-90% of the 2070 super's performance. good for mid-high 4k 60hz, or 1440p 144hz.

A NAS drive should just be more reliable in general

Just a cheaper RMx unit probably if you want something high end. Unless PSU pricing is still broken in general. solid units should be around $70-90

My budget is roughly anywhere from 1000-1300. Ive already bought the Cpu, MotherBoard, SSD, and the Case.

I Will probably change to the RX5700 because i wont honestly be able to tell a difference.

Ill entertain the idea for a NAS Drive for a little while, as I look at Storage a bit more.

The Pricing seems weird to me. Ill take a look at the RMx's

My Monitors arent very high resolution. less than 1440p and 60-75hz each. I have 3. Planning on upgrading but not in the next few months.

there is an 850W unit for $1 more than the 750W white, not that it matters, just a nice to have

The Neptwin is just the cheapest 6 heat pipe dual tower cooler.

Flare X is made for Ryzen basically. Should just work.

The cheap RX 5700 XT pricing is likely due to having an average cooler. Here's a round up, Pulse/Red Dragon are some of the best, Nitro+ is top end if you want silence.

Actually I think that Phantom Gaming D OC has the same cooler as the Taichi at a lower price. Probably the best 5700 for the money if so.

Ok, ill take the 850W power supply.

Im Glad you found that ram because i had 2x8 Flare X sticks picked out previously because they are meant for ryzen, etc and i didnt think id be able to find 32gb of it for that little.

The Graphics card looks good. What about this one? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6kdrxr/gigabyte-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-gaming-oc-video-card-gv-r57xtgaming-oc-8gd Its roughly 10$ more but is the cooler better?

Also If you dont think the stock cooler that comes with the 2700x will be good, what is one that you would suggest? other than a hyper 212?

The stock cooler is fine, but if you want to push overclocking or just have a quieter system a dual tower cooler with plenty of heatpipes is a cheap upgrade

Edited my post, the gigabyte card is good too, this one's just a bit cheaper and bigger as well, so better cooling generally. 2 slot vs 2.5 slot.

I would just go for other fans, the Corsair ML PRO 120, i think they are the best fans at the moment!

so the ASUS card has Better cooling than the gigabyte card? and is cheaper or do I have that wrong?

Also, if the cpu cooler upgrade is relatively cheap, what cooler do you suggest that will work well and be quiet?

Asus has many car model. Dual, tuf and strix .... mini etc. The strix has the bets cooling, performance and rgn. The tuf is prettu good, while only little better than dual. Dual is pretty basic. The mini is not that good, since the bad cooling and performance

Red Devil, Nitro+ and Gaming X are the best, the followers are the Gigabyte OC, Pulse and Red Dragon. Asus 5700XT are not good, the TUF is awful and the Strix is quite hot too but good PCB.

Also with your budget and aim of use, the 2080S is the best GPU you can get.

The ASrock Card has the better cooler, as it's the same as the taichi I think, which is a $450 card.

The ASUS TUF has an average cooler, but it's really cheap so. up to you. If you really care about silence get the:

Note that there are cheaper or better units than Corsair RMx with current prices, Phanteks AMP 550W for 80$ (OEM is Seasonic Focus GX) or Enermax Revolution DF 650W for 110$ (multi-rail, same platform as BitFenix Whisper). You don't need more than 550W for this build and unless you'll get RTX2080 Super\TI or Threadripper CPUs you don't need 650W too.

What's the price difference though? If it's like ~$30 I'd just get the 850W RMx unit as it'll be known good forever basically with a solid warranty. It'll also be a tad cooler/quieter.

It's literally in my post.

Corsair RMx 550W are 100$, Phanteks AMP 550W are 80$, both are solid and pretty much on the same level, RMx might be a bit quieter under close to maximum load tho.

Corsair RMx 650W are 120$, Enermax Revolution DF 650W are 110$, which is multirail in contrast with RMx and even without that it's no worse, and may be actually quieter too.

Phanteks has 10-years warranty, same as Corsair, Enermax has 5-years warranty tho but it uses very robust platform and i'm sure that there's very thin chance of it malfunctioning in the next 10 years. If you rather to get 10-y warranty 650W PSU then again, there's Phanteks AMP \ Seasonic Focus GX for 105\110$.

But i agree that price difference isn't that big, if you like Corsair stick with it.

psu prices in general are busted. the white variant really isnt that far off, they have been becoming inflated for a while.. really surprised its not talked about more.
