Samsung CRG90 - Arm Mount

I recently bought an awesome 32:9 49" inch 1440p monitor.  It looks amazing but....
-The Stand takes up a lot of desk real estate
-I would like to mount it above my 24" 240hz monitor.

I am having difficulty finding an arm mount for it.  The arm mount will need to
-Allow the monitor to clear the height of the 24"
-Support 33+ Lbs

Anyone know of an arm mount that will work?  I am considering just screwing some 2x4s to my desk to make a raised mounting point for the mounts that I have found that will support the weight (but aren't tall enough).  But would rather not damage the nice hard wood desk top.

You're probably looking for a wall mount but make sure the wall behind it has a place where you can drill the mount into.

That would make things easier, unfortunately wall mounting is not an option for me in my apartment.

Well, I don't think there exists an arm that you need, not for a resonable price anyway.

You could try this one, but honestly, nothing is going to be made specifically for what you need. If you can't drill in to the wall, you're not going to have an easy time mounting something above your smaller monitor.

If that doesn't work, you can just make a stand with 2x4s that's free standing.

33lbs is easily supported by the wall itself if you use the proper anchor.

I'm not familiar with hanging stuff lol. I meant a stud or whatever it's called. That vertical beam thing lol.

With a VESA mount you wouldn't be able to hit the stud with both sides of the mount ;)

Actually, many of the VESA TV/monitor wall mounts are designed for single stud mounting.  On these, the wall bracket is a tall, thin vertical piece instead of a large square or other shape.

Regarding drywall anchors, that's fine if you have a mount that holds the monitor flat against the wall.  If you put it on an arm though, the extra torque could rip the anchors right out and drop the whole thing to the floor (based on extensive experience from us and our customers; please don't rely on drywall anchors for TV and monitor arms).
