Recently built new PC and I've been having some very peculiar issues after a bios update. After the update, PC immediately powers on as soon as it is attached to power (gpu, mobo, fans), but no signal to the monitor. Cannot get to bios, no image at all. Tested multiple monitors to multiple sources and all have video, but nothing from the gpu. mobo does not have on board VGA to hook up to as far as I can tell. Removed and re-seated all power, RAM and peripherals (everything that plugs in). Using single ram and swapping different ram. Tried switching to secondary bios, resetting bios/cmos switches (unplugged and powered off for multiple seconds each). I feel like I've pretty well done everything minus removing the cmos battery, as I dont see it anywhere (can someone point me to where it is). My body is ready.

After everything, the same error. PC power on as soon as powered and no image. Mobo error code is reading "00", but i believe its an error error code trying to tell me cpu temps. I dont know, I'm dumb. :)

Mobo: z390 msi godlike

Psu: seasonic focus 850

RAM: Tried both tridentz rgb and vengeance pro rgb (did not mix)

Would really appreciate any help or assistance. It would mean a lot.

So you got a possibly bad bios, but you can’t get into bios because there weird crap avalanche is so big you can’t even get TO BIOS

Does the godlike have a way to reflash the bios from USB?  Some boards do.  Others have an auto abort feature that reverts to stock bios after the board refuses to post X times.  Board should boot not unless it’s boot switch pins get shorted though, which implies something even uglier is up.

Does the thing still do this if the board is bare?  No memory, nothing in the slots or sockets?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I think that board supports flashing the bios without actually getting into it.  Not sure if it'll work when your BIOS is bricked, but it might be there just for situations like these.  Throw a new BIOS on a flash drive, figure out which usb port you need to plug it into for the feature, and flash the bios.  There should just be a button on the rear IO.
