Should I go for 75hz IPS or 100hz VA?

Sorry this is my last post regarding monitors lol. Anyways I'm looking at ultrawides and am having a hard time finding a good one that's under 600$. My current monitor is 60hz IPS and I'm wondering if there will be a noticeable difference in 75hz and stay with an ips setup or should I just go for the 100hz VA panel.

 

Keep in mind the 1440p 75hz IPS panel (5ms response time) is around 460$

and the 1440p 100hz VA panel (8ms response time) is around 440$

 

Out of your experiences with monitors, will there be a huge difference from 75hz to 100hz and/or VA to IPS?

Which is more worth it, I don't do "Competitive gaming" but I do game often and fairly seriously, but I also probably do more Web browsing/productivity. Hard decision...

75 and 100 is fairly noticeable, I'd say it's worth it.

 

However, what models are you looking at?

I use a 100hz VA ultrawide - MX34VQ, and it's pretty great for games.

I wouldn't go with an MSI display. Their quality control when it comes to those is pretty spotty. Lots of ghosting, dead pixel reports and stuff like that.

I second that remark. There is more ghosting than IPS but I don't notice it anymore

One of those are renewed and have low ratings, not sure I trust a renewed monitor or that other one from that website. Plus I'm trying to find one for generally 600$ or less. I thought about an Acer one but they all seem to be 750$ plus and some have iffy ratings.

Funny enough I actually returned this 34-inch ultrawide 1080p 144hz Ips monitor like a week ago, it had an extremely great price but the pixel density was an absolute killer for me so I returned it... Is there usually sales during christmas week?

 

But yeah I will most likely wait it out and keep scouring Amazon/microcenter/newegg for a really good sale.

I've literally never heard of boxing day lol. But thanks for the responses. Now I guess I just wait it out and keep looking.
