1 1tb nvme ssd or 2 500gb nvme ssd in raid zero.

Its the same brand of ssd but getting 2 and putting them in RAID 0 would be a fair bit cheaper then getting the 1 tb version. Any downsides? (After some dick deleted my OS on an unsecure connection i have learned to save anything important immedietly so i dont care if it fails due to some OS issue)

What drives?

The single drive is more expensive by about 60$ which is why im asking about issues with raid 0.

So far i have 32gb of ram. The tower 900 for a case. 

Next payday is the Corsair HX750i or 1000w version and the drive or drives im enquiering about. (unless boxing day sales drop the planned CPU in to a really affordable range for this pay cheque.

What drives are you looking at? That difference seems way higher than it should be with good nvme m.2 drives for about 130usb.

 

Stay away from buying it one part at a time, just save up at one time, prices normally go down, money earns interest, parts dont, and it keeps you from having doa parts.

it had the same speeds as the samsung 970 pro (or somthing which ever one was better) for alot better cost.

What do you need the speeds for. For mostly games, you won't be able to tell the differnce between any nvme drives.

 

That sx8200 is also almost as fast, and much cheaper, probably the better buy here. Id personally go 2tb 660p if it was for games personally. I want the space and the speed won't make a big difference.

Sort of all sorts of stuff. Gaming. Content creation. Hopefully game or animation development. kinda building my pc for the next 5 years

Then the sx8200 should be fine. Nothing you list needs that much io.

 

Do you have storage other than this ssd? You should have backups somewhere.

i also like to do stupid shit ?

Ya i will deff give that drive a look as it seems quite promising. 

I do have a 1tb sata for storage im not sure if i wanna put it in there. I also have a 4 TB external hard drive that has at least 2.5tb left.

And i know my video card decision is  over kill and not a fantastic value .
