If you can afford it, the 5700. Just upgrade the CPU later if you don't get the performance you want in your favorite titles. Still comes out cheaper than getting a 580 and then getting a better CPU and then getting a 5700.

here's my personal bang4buck list atm

rx570, 1660s, 5700, xt, rtx 2080S/ti.

expecting a bottleneck with the 2400g, so i'd actually go with a 570 used from high feedback seller on ebay, unless u can find a 580 for cheap too

If you have no plans to ever upgrade from 2400g, say the motherboard can't easily support newer Ryzens like 2600, 2700x, 3600 etc then just get RX570 not RX580 as that should pair really well and are often like 120-140$. If you just HAD to get a RX580 I'd recommend anything but the ASUS RX580 WhiteTiger on the box thing, those are garbo and sound like hurricanes while running at 80C if pushed at all, also usually break after a few weeks/months because VRAM isn't cooled properly.

However If you have a motherboard which will allow you to upgrade to newer CPU eventually (almost any AM4 board but the most garbage ones), and plan to upgrade in next year or so to something like R5 2600,R7 2700, R5 3600 etc then 5700 will always be better choice.  Its about as high in price you can go in the whole GPU market without severely diminishing returns in regards to "Cost Per Frames."  Plus it has fun tinkering if you want more performance later (vbios flash to 5700xt).  I'd recommend PowerColor, Gigabyte, or Sapphire AIB models.

That CPU can handle a 5700. therefore go with it if you can afford it. Awesome price/perf. Also newer architecture and supporting (a bit) more modern stuff.

But 580 is still decent for most stuff at 180p60.

i actually thing your CPU + 5700 is a very nice mid end config

FOLDING MONTH 2021! GOGOGO and save on some heating costs 🙂
