Need guidance about Windows 10 License usage !! Urgent

Greetings.

4 Years back I bought a laptop with a genuine copy of "Windows 10 Home Single Language" preinstalled.

Now I want to build a new custom HEDT Workstation.

I want to uninstall the Win 10 from the same laptop and convert it into a purely Linux machine.

And I want to install the same copy of Win 10 which came preinstalled with the laptop, on the new HEDT Workstation.

Can I do that or I have to buy a new Win 10 license?

Thanx.

They way I transferred my license was just by logging into a Microsoft account on my old PC, log in with that account on my new PC and say "yes, I change my hardware" when that prompt came up.

Its most likely an OEM version of Windows. Meaning its locked to that laptop for LIFE. As in locked to its motherboard. Some people have had luck getting OEM copies transfered but understand that Microsofts policy is that OEM copies are locked to the machine they are first installed on.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
