So I connected my pc to my main tv because the monitor doesn't work anymore, then I try to overclock the tv and I could reach the 144hz in 1280 x 1024 wich is insane, but my tv only have hdmi ports, no dvi, no display port, my question is ¿can I use a DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 Cable (no adapter) to use the 144hz? The tv can be overclocked in 1920x1080@110hz, 1280x1024@144hz and 800x600@170hz (i know is insane) I dont know the hdmi port version of the tv btw, 1.2 may be , so thanks u guys!

(Sorry bad english im still learning :p)

DisplayPort and HDMI use different signals, so you need an active adapter, unless you have a dual mode Display Port that can actually produce HDMI signals.

Here's a DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapter that supports 120 Hz at 1080p:
