Hello again, my name is Timothy and there’s something I just can’t figure out.

I want to stream games from my android phone onto my iPad because the screen size on my phone is quite small compared to the iPad. I prefer using the android OS over the iOS system and was wandering if any of you guys know of an app I could use to stream this data fast and effectively without paying. I tried a whole variety of apps ranging from Teamviewer to apowermirror, however TeamViewer requires a payed subscription for longer sessions of streaming while apowermirror is completely unresponsive on the iPad end, not allowing me to control the phone. I would even be willing to do it with a wire as my phone could just sit comfortably in my pocket. Thanks!!

You can use Teamviewer (Host on Android, client on the iPad) to do this but because it goes over the network there will be latency and compression artifacts but it should still be usable.

why no dark mode?

Did ya read the OP you quoted?

Uh... just run the games on the iPad. Using iOS to just launch a game can't be that bad, or you wouldn't have the iPad in the first place.

since when does teamviewer require a paid subscription? I have done this exact thing from my phone to an iPhone with no issues....
and no, i didn't read the entire paragraph.
And not all games on Android are on iOS... (or the iPad could just be outdated and not able to run them smoothly)

I haven't actually tried to run free TeamViewer for an extended time so IDK if there is a limit or not, if it's just for mobile, or what.

This is true. All we have from the OP so far is that they don't like iOS though, if they confirm that the iPad can't run games well. It can run Teamviewer tho, making the worst iPad it could be the iPad 4 (running an A6X), or the iPad Mini 2 (running an A7). Depending on the games that could or could not be an issue, a lot of mobile games would run fine on those.

I don’t know the model of the iPad, but I just prefer the ability to run apk files that i can’t install on iOS. I personally (please, I’m not trying to start a war. It’s my personal preference.) like to do work on the android OS as it feels more like a computer to me then a phone. (And that’s just what I prefer). Also, yes... the iOS version of Teamviewer requires a subscription. I don’t know about the desktop version though. Thanks for the feedback though

nah, I like Android better too. If you install the standard Teamviewer App on the iPad and conenct to the Host app on Android it tries to get you to buy a subscription? Is there an option for non-commercial use for free hidden or in small text? It should be free for private use.image.png.c0cd70a431631e5b7b6d19946e81ec0a.png

Yep, if i connect the devices for about 5 minutes, i get kicked from the session that says something along the lines of “Thank you for trying your free TeamViewer session” Is there some sort of setting enabled that disables “Private” use. Thanks!

Apparently this happens when it detects it is being used for corporate use, are you using the QuickSupport App with an ID or logging into your account?

An id with the app. Thanks so much for your help. I just tested it and it seems to work fine now. Maybe it was a bug or I misread it. I am so sorry for the inconvenience and I thank you for your help!

Also, is there a way to make teamviewer run faster/more stably by Bluetooth linking or something like that?  Maybe even a wired option where they connect via usb. Thanks!

One more question, how would I do that from the phone’s end. (It’s using quick support)

Use the Teamviewer Host App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamviewer.host.market&hl=en_US) You might need the Samsung Addon as well.

I don't think there is a way to do this with teamviewer, but you might be able to use VNC but that is a paid server app on android, if you can find a free VNC sever app for android you can go ahead and try that. It still uses WiFi but it has been much faster and more stable than Teamviewer
