Weird case or maybe I lack knowledge

I have a weird case here guys,

 

I play music with Spotify from my laptop.

volume from laptop speaker 50%, volume from subwoofer 100%.

The volume is just okay but when I open DOTA 2 with “open mic” turned on or open “settings”, the volume is like 50% amplified. It gets louder and clearer!

I don’t know why, is it DOTA 2 got sound amplifier in the apps? Hmmm.

 

Because of this, everytime I want to have a music session, I‘ll open DOTA 2 so I can enjoy a much louder and clearer music.

Damn weird.

 

Anybody can explain?

could it be some gaming related app that detects you have dota 2 on? or special driver on your laptop? it would be helpful if you make a screenshot of autorun programs in task manager.

I just checked it again last night I think is got something to do with mic. 
I tried turn on steam group call and get into the voice channel, and boom the sound got amplified. The bass is the same but the vocal is amplified, very clear and loud.

I really don’t understand why tho.

so the key is when mic is on, the sound amplified.

Update

the sound quality improved when the “sound setting” window is active. (See attachment, sound quality boosted when any of the window is active)

When I close the window, the quality drops.

I can’t find the problem

you know, an autorun program list would certainly more helpful......
