Combining 2 drives on Windows 10

Good day!

 

I’m planning to combine two SSDs (Samsung 850Evo 250GB + Samsung 860Evo 500GB) to make a 750GB Drive.

 

Correct me if I’m wrong about this.

 

Windows 10 will fill up one drive first before starting to put files on the other drive right? So how could I choose which drive will be filled up first?

I believe you're wanting to do a "Spanned Drive" and as far as I know yes it would fill up the first drive and then the next but I believe if one drive fails you can loose all the data as the volume is spanned across multiple drives. Another note is that once drives are spanned they should be converted to a dynamic disk and windows OS if I remember can not be booted from dynamic disks. Also if you are attempting this, BACKUP all your data before hand.

Sounds like a very bad idea to me tbh.  But yes at least make backups I guess.
