Hi Guys,

Amid the release of the Radeon RX 5500 do you think that the NVIDIA 16 Series cards will drop in price? The 1650 seems to be the card that AMD is comparing the 5500 to, but the vanilla 1660 and the 1650 Super will probably be the real main competitors. I could imagine that the 1660 Super will still outperform the RX 5500 but also still be more expensive. As the RX 5500 is suspected to come in at about 150$ to 200$ for the 4GB version, do you think that NVIDIA will drop 16 Series prices to increase competition and possibly even lead to the 1660 Super outclassing the RX 5500 at a similar price? I am planning to buy a 1660 Super myself but have held myself back from doing so, because I personally suspect price drops. I can barely keep myself from just buying the card though and wanted to see your opinion on possible price drops before purchasing.

I wouldn't count on a price cut from Nvidia (at least immediately). That's just not something they usually do in reaction to competition.

Yeah, instead they usually just refresh all their cards and keep the same names and throw them into their ever confusing product stack.

Well, they have got 1650 Ti, 1650 Ti Super, and 1660 Ti Super left. Sure Nvidia won't make up another suffix to put at the end of their GPUs.
