Before the issues started- I had actually cleaned and applied fresh thermal paste on the GPU. I was not able to remove the old paste which had smeared over the side of the die, so I let it be and applied the new stuff on the GPU anyways.

On the first boot and play session after applying thermal paste nothing seemed wrong. However after the 2nd boot up things got wild pretty quick.
When I am on the desktop or just using file explorer everything seems fine. But when I launch firefox things start to stutter unbelievably hard, then the monitor goes "No Signal" and only stutter sounds keeps playing with a black screen ( I was watching a youtube video) . The whole system is frozen over too. I have no option but to do OFF/ON the system.

Now my GPU is not detected on restart(s). My motherboard red LED for GPU lights up indicating some issue. I restart a few times more and Windows 10 posts, the problem repeats though. I decide to remove my GTX 1060, inspect it and put it back in and it works again somehow. I only checked to see if I was getting display, did not login to windows and run any apps though. The freezing was freaking me out.

The funny thing is I played 2 full sessions of Metro Exodus on Windows 10 yet there was no indication of any real problem.

I restored windows 10 to a previously issue free restore point (Just 3 days old), the restore window pointed out that I would have issues with one driver "A-volute" it is somehow related to that stupid Nahimic app for MSI motherboards. Its basically a super fancy Equalizer for the onboard audio chipset. It largely does not work so I removed it long back with not much issue after removal.

I am currently posting from my POPos install  on my other HDD in the same system, I played insurgency on it, a whole 20 mins. No issues. Temps also seem fine. No stutters. I tried firefox too and did my usual routine. No issues.

Paragraphs...ugh. I'm sorry but Metro Exodus English is kinda rubbing off on me. I am typing weird I admit, unusual for me.
