In canon, the older model of imperial Speeder Bike (used in Rebels) maxes out at 375 km/h - faster than most cars today. The model actually used at Endor - the 74-Z Speeder Bike - could top out at 500 km/h (Legends - Canon doesn't state a figure, so we can assume that is correct unless Canon changes that information. Imagine driving a motorcycle at 500 km/h. Now imagine doing that through a dense forest. Now imagine not dying instantly.
