3600 is the best value for the bang it provides, The 9600k only has a very very slight advantage because of its single core clock speed. But overall, the 3700x is the better chip 99 times out of 100.

And you don't need R7 3700X for gaming, save the money or put it into other parts.

For gaming purposes is the 3700x the better chip. Because on benchmark the i5 seems to outperform the 3700x??

you can see how they stack up here: https://www.techspot.com/review/1871-amd-ryzen-3600/

from what I see, 3600 and 3700 are similar, and are better than 9600 at 1080p, but worse at 1440p

If gaming is all you want then the R5 3600 is the value king.

The R5 3600 will give you about the same gaming potential as the R7 3700X

The i5 9600K shouldn't really be considered because it only has 6c/6t which is limiting.

Is it 2600 and 3600 performance is far different? For single core performance and Gaming perf.
