Hi Everyone

I recently bought a MSI GTX 1660 Ventus XS OC 6GB card but I need some advice I am not sure if this card is running hot or is it running at a normal temperature. When in idle it runs at 43 degrees when under gaming load it runs between 67 and 72 degrees 72 being more of the norm.

My case is the MSi Vampiric chassis with 3x deep cool intake fans and 2x deep cool exhaust fans  now is this a safe gaming temp without damaging the card or longevity of the card as I want to use it for 3-4 years? I did check on the Nvidia website the card is rated to run at 95 degrees.

Also note I am using MSI afterburner software to crank the GPU fans up to 100% but it still runs at 72 degrees the ambient temp is between 25 and 31 degrees. I cant get this lower.

I have tried contacting MSI but there website keeps giving me a error so they arent helpfull at all.

why would you consider 72C high? Even 80C is good enough, this isn't some $1000 card that needs the best of operating conditions ot be worthwhile

Even so thats why im asking it may not be an expensive card for you but in South Africa components are expensive so for me its an expensive card. Hence me asking the question. Should I worry running at this temp 14 hours a day 3 days a week for 3-4 years?

Nothing wrong with those temps, you have nothing to worry about.
