hey my friends pc is broken and is looking to partially rebuild it since its cyber monday. As in the title, he needs new cpu motherboard ram. Looking for something new, but cheap, probably an 8th or 9th gen i5. (overclocking probably wont happen so non k should be good.) Also i live in canada. Just want some links to some good prices, maybe even a combo of the 3 would be good. Thanks.

1) ram prices rn are cheap, in canadacomputers you can pick up 2x8 gb of corsair 3200mhz ram for 80-100$
2) i highly recommend ryzen for the price to performance compared to i5 (as well if you want it knew)

3) if u insist on intel, then it won't be cheap. i would suggest going for an older generation. i personally think that the 6th generation is quite nice for second handed purchases

4) look for feature like usb ports and vrm cooling on mobo. also don't cheap out here as it is the "heart" to your pc

if not overclocking, the stock cooler on the ryzen is adequate, you can save $30.
