My motherboard is an MSI B350 PC MATE and DDR4  it's supported speeds are: 3200(OC)+/ 2933(OC)/ 2667(OC)/ 2400/ 2133

And I have 8Gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 2400MHz  - I used 2400 just to be safe because I didn't (and still don't) know any better.

I desperately need more capacity and better speeds.

My question is:

If I bought RAM w/ speeds of 3200, let's say, is it okay to just install the new RAM?

OR

Do I have to "overclock" anything  in the BIOS to support the new speeds?

What do I do?

Thanks for the help

If you dont do further tuning, 3200MHz kit will run 2133MHz instead. Enable XMP/DOCP is needed to reach 3200MHz and rated timings. 1st gen CPUs ,may reject that though

Ram can be tricky. Speed of the the ram is not necessary going to make a big difference versus capacity. Mismatched RAM can somethings not work together. The RAM speed will only match the lowest speed RAM in the system. However if you just need more RAM capacity. I would not worry about OC'n it. Just pug another stick in. It depends on what you are using it for, but for gaming and streaming speed really is minor.

Okay I wouldn't go over 3200Mhz with first gen ryzen try to get kits with tighter timings .

To OC just load XMP profile 9/10 times it will boot with no issues.
