Help with Yamaha Mg10Xu

Go to solution Solved by WH2002,

Firstly, welcome to this hobby that will cost you way to much money and time.

At first you are gonna need some cables. To connect your computer and your ps4 to the mixer you will need a cable that goes from one 3,5mm to two 6,3mm jacks. One like this one will work. You will plug the 3,5mm end into your pc or console and the 6.3 mm ends into the mixer into the plugs marked green. You can plug your mic into one of the ports marked red. To get better quality audio out of your pc you can also plug it into the usb port on the back and set that to be your audio device in windows (don't forget to switch the switch marked orange to usb. Lastly plug your headphones into the port marked blue.

Now power on the mixer and switch on the pc/ps4. adjust the level whit the withe knobs on the bottom of the board and increase the volume of your headphones to your liking.

ps: the costing way to much money thing is real.

Hello, hope you are having a good day. just got passed down a Yamaha Mg10Xu from my brother, this is my first mixer so I'm hella confused because there so many ports that are new to me. my objective is to be able to connect my mic and my headphones which i know how to do, and want to know how to connect my xbox and ps4 to the mixer because i want to be able to hear my pc and my consoles at the same time with the same headphones through the mixer. also which cable  to use. tldr: if you could highlight the port through a picture of the device and tell me what is the name of the port it would be awesome. thanks.
