Hello. So I have been dealing with micro stutters on my computer for some time now on this computer. I finally got a USB drive to run memtest with and found that I had errors when all 4 slots were filled with 8 gb Corsair DDR4 ram running @ 3000mhz with XMP enabled. Individually no sticks or slots had any problems. When I ran with 2 and 3 slots filled I also did not get errors. What could be the cause of this? I have a feeling that this is what is causing my microstutters to occur. One thing to note about the problem is that they only occur after prolonged use, and restarts sometimes help the problem. The only thing that 100% fixes it is leaving the desktop off for a period of time.

Some things I have noticed about the stutters:

- It never causes audio to freeze as well, only visual

- They only last for 1 to 2 seconds

- It only started after moving to a new dorm.

I was thinking of upgrading my GPU, PSU and storage soon in the hopes that maybe the problem is related to those. Any thoughts?

Is the kit of memory you have two separate 2x8GB kits or a single 4x8GB kit?  Is it 32GB total?

Does it work with XMP disabled?

What are your full PC specs?

I bought the memory as two separate 2x8 kits but they are the same

It passes with xmp off, but xmp does help the stutters a decent bit. So I don't know what to make of that.

Here is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kovyv/saved/#view=WLz27P
