Hey Everyone,

I'm planning on building a small/mid Tier Server for hosting Gameservers for some Friends, Video Playback on a 1080p Beamer and maybe stream encoding. The streaming stuff is optional because my current gaming rig is more than capable of gaming and streaming. I already have 32GB RAM on Hand.

My budget range is 1000-1500€.

This is my current loadout:

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X - 599€

Pro WS X570.ACE - 310€

RX 550 - 85€

Straight Power 11 - 113€

Meshify C - 70€

I'm aware that I could downgrade the CPU but I don't know how far I wanna push the gameservers and I really don't wanna be limited by cores in the end.

Sould I get a bigger CPU Cooler than stock?

Thanks for all the Input :D

that mobo is wayyyy overkill. you only need to spend like 200euros for a high end mobo. take that money and put it towards a batter gpu and better cooler (a $50usd air cooler should be plenty)

that psu seems overkill too (unless you really want quiet and efficient)

imo, get a cheaper mobo and psu, and put that towards a better gpu and cooler.

Thanks for your Advice!

I've switched out the PSU for a Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero 650W which is currently on sale.

I've also upped the GPU to a GTX 1050Ti and switched the mobo to an ASUS PRIME X570-P.

Now I just have to wait for the next paycheck :D
