Well, it could be that the X model uses more power for better overclocking etc.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Because TDP means basically nothing.

 

Both processors consume much more than their TDP rating, the 2600 consumes above 80 watts and I believe it's close to 110 for the 2600X

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

The x does come with a better cooler and is theoretically better binned.

ah ok the higher voltage makes sense which gives it more power tdp.
