Looking for a new Gaming Monitor.

Hey, right now i am looking for a Monitor in the 400-500 range. Since i am living in Germany all the monitors are far more expensive than in the US.

I wanted to buy the ASUS TUF VG27AQ for quite a while but the price difference from the us to germany scares me. If we compare it side by side it's 460$ compared to 519€(571$).

Sadly finding the right monitor for yourself is already a big struggle and if u see big price differences it ruins it aswell.

Does anyone out there have a spare minute to help me find a good monitor for me on the EU market?

There's AOC CQ32G1 VA 32" display for 375 EUR - https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/2nZFf7/aoc-cq32g1-315-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-cq32g1

And ASUS MG279Q IPS 27" for 430 EUR - https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/c298TW/asus-monitor-mg279q

The differences other than the size is that AOC VA display will have less backlight bleed, that matters for dark games, while IPS ASUS display are better for fast-paced games since VA displays are a bit sluggish in response times which results in noticeable trailing\ghosting.

Prices are rarely comparable between US and Europe, you should always check the taxes as well in the US. Sometimes stuff looks very cheap but then the taxes are not yet included in the price.

This one is available around €499 where I'm from: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6XPgXL/lg-27gl850-b-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-27gl850-b

oh man, i totally forgot about your taxes. u never include taxes in the selling prices...

The Lg 27gl850-b was also on my list. sadly it's sold out right now and it's price did increase from 519 to 599€. I might get it for 517€ in a few days. Is that a fair Price compared  to the Mg279Q posted for 430€ Juular linked? Also 32" on the  AOC would have been too big for me and i somehow want an IPS panel anyway.

Also that Argument with the taxes somehow made me think that 520~ is not such a bad price for these 2 models.

*edit*

Since i made up my mind cause of the taxes, what do u guys  think about the Asus TUF  compared to the LG?

Well the pro of the LGs and the TUF one is that they are g-sync compatible (the mg279Q isn't), however this is only a pro if you own a Nvidia GPU. Furthermore I would check reviews since in terms of feature set all of these monitors are pretty much the same. Whether prices are fair is very much depended on where you live. For example that 27GL83a is "just" €449 after taxes where I live, however if they are all priced about the same I'd let the reviews decide.

I am owning a Nvidia GPU, should have mentioned that. The TUF offers ELMB sync with free sync activated while the LG doesn't. that is one of the reasons why i am tending to buy the TUF and i am not sure if that is such a big thing. I guess i will just role with the TUF and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice on the taxes.

However i am also told to buy a new Monitor for someone that doesn't want to pay that much, but wants to have a good upgrade to the current setup, which is not hard since she's still playing on a 1680X1050 Monitors i graped on a garagesell for 10€.

Sadly i am a picky person on monitors and already struggle with mine...

It should be around 150~200€ and she's mostly just playing League of Legends, she's also doing some editing but never had the pleasure to see good colors on a display.

She has the power to get a steady 120-144Hz (bought her a 1060 3GB last year) and always says that the games looks so much smoother on my computer compared to her own.

Can u help me with that one please?
