raspberry pi zero w pi-hole and vpn

I'm new to raspberry pi's and wanted to know if i could run pi-hole and a vpn on the same pi.  All the tutorials i've seen are setting a vpn to use pi hole or installing one or the other. I am still kinda new to linux and wanted some input as to if i can run both on one pi or if i need two separate ones.  Thanks in advance, and any advice is appreciated.

I am not familiar with the 0 but I run pi-hole and open vpn on my 3B+

It depends on the speed of your internet connection. The pi zero doesn't have true gigabit and would probably we pushed too hard performing both tasks.

 

If you want to do both I would get a pi4 1gb and us that. It has true gigabit and a much stronger cpu.
