Switchable 4K/60 & 1440p/144hz monitors

So I found this monitor that claims it can switch between 4K/60 and 1440p/144hz on the very same monitor. In addition to this one on Aliexpress I also found several others on Taobao.

Anyone know if that's legit? And if so, why isn't it implemented on the more mainstream brands of monitors?

Bullshit. Don't buy it. Unlike eBay, even if you did buy it, you'd be fucked as I doubt Aliexpress/Taobao would refund you as the seller probably wouldn't.

Well this does exist on quite a few monitors however I always use the actual physical resolution of the displays because else it looks weird.
