Which one Dell U2718Q or LG 27UL850-W

Hi i'm in a tough decision between this two monitors Dell U2718Q or LG 27UL850-W.

Which one will be better picture quality (PHOTOSHOP, LIGHTROOM). There is lack of reviews on LG but I think it's little bit beter than Dell.

Maybe someone can give me some advice. I don't know so much "mumbo jumbo" technical stuff

They should be pretty much on the same level image quality wise, Dell one are definitely very good display, and it's cheaper.

In my country this two are in the same price. What I have checked that is LG has support for displayport of 1.4 and hdmi 2.0 so HDR will probably work ;). LG has more feature as: Split screan, USB-C,two calibration settings to chosse, and in my country 45 days of pixel guarantee. The additional stuff is not important right now I need technical proof of better one of another (COLOR). If they are the same than I think LG will win becouse of additional stuff.

While it may not end up doing so well in regards to black uniformity, as the Dell is actually pritty good in that respect and most IPS displays dont do well, the Dell doesnt have great Adobe-RGB coverage, at only ~75%. i wouldnt be surprised if the LG done better there, which would be more useful for color accurate work, assuming it has good factory calibration.

Without reviews I wouldnt recommend it, BUT since we do know about the other option, its probably at least worth the gamble.

if u care enough to find a good monitor for this kind of work i hope u also already have or intend to get a calibrator, no monitor comes out of the factory perfect so if ur serious about getting a good monitor for such work ..make sure u calibrate it.

Thanks SolarNova :)

I'm wondering why there is no reviews on this LG is one year old monitor ;)

Np.

The short of it is that there are few Monitor reviewers (proper ones with tests and results), and they can only do so much. rtings started primarily as a TV review, they now have 91 monitor reviews, sounds like a lot but only about 27 of those monitor are worth looking at for consideration to purchase , and even fewer end up actually being worth buying.

The LCD industry, both TV and monitors, are chock full of garbage displays, LCD just isnt a great display tech, so only a handful are ever 'good', so you have to review ALOT to find them.

With limited resources however the few reviewers around have to choose carefully, rtings does a 'vote' system for example. The LG 27UL850-W has 27 votes and looks like it may eventually be reviewed, but others are ahead of it.

Are being tested atm and will be the next reviews posted.
