Hey guys,

Glad to be joining LTT.

I just got a new apartment, starting a new phase of my life, to celebrate and give myself an early birthday present i want to build a new workstation/gaming PC.
initially i was thinking to get 2 separate pc's but i wont really have that much space available and it just seems too much of a hassle.

Pc will be used for working mostly, (Graphic/web design, 2D animations/ interaction design etc... nothing too heavy). & partially for competitive gaming.

Here are the parts i gathered. I already own a EVGA 550w power supply and rest of it i'm getting from people or local tech re-sellers (used, used like new) parts. So prices/parts might be slightly different.
I'm planning to have a dual monitor setup, where 1 will be just for work and 2nd for gaming(preferably 240 hz one).

I'm going to get a 4K Dell monitor for work related stuff and after a month i plan to buy 1080p Dell alienware 240hz gaming monitor(yeah...both dell, why not? making my ocd happy too :p).

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q47Ncq

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($185.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler  ($64.99 @ B&H)
Motherboard: MSI X570-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory  ($81.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 970 Pro 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($159.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB STRIX GAMING OC Video Card  ($459.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.98 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($81.98 @ Newegg)

Total: $1234.90

Also I will be adding a 1TB SSD with the second monitor.
I'm not 100% sure about GPU, main reason i chose RTX version and 2070 was ; 1. CUDA cores for rendering n such..  2.Ray tracing(kinda beign future proof at least year or two).
I understand that amd's RX 5700 XT is a good competitor against 2070 and in some cases 2080, especially with lower price point but i'm not sure how amd handles rendering and gpu acceleration in Adobe's software.

Tools i will be using most of the time :  Ae , An , Ai , Ps , XD , Pr , Dn , Au, Figma, C4D(light 2D stuff nothing fancy). + Ableton live.

Games i will most likely play : new COD MW, BF4, CS:GO, and more...

thank you,
have a wonderful day ❤️
Smokeeeeeyyy out....
