Gonna have to agree with @glenalz81 on this one.

  • Power management mode - Set to Prefer maximum performance
  • Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample opti... - ON will give you higher performance (set back to Off if you see shimmering on objects)
  • Texture filtering - Quality - High performance (with this set to High performance, always set personal preference for Anisotropic filtering in-game)
  • Vertical sync - Use the 3D application setting

Bare in mind, these may not give you a major increase in performance but these are the best settings to set them to from my experience. All the other settings that I didn't list, you already have set to the ideal settings.

Also, in Windows settings, be sure to set your power plan to balanced. And make sure your min and max processor state is set at 5% and 100%.

This will keep your CPU from running at 100% outside of gaming and it will allow your CPU to run at its max speed while gaming. Hopefully, you already have your CPU clocked to 3.2 GHz(its max turbo speed in games that use 4 cores) in your BIOS.

Good point. Best to turn them both OFF in the Nvidia control panel and if and when you want to use them, simply tweak them in the in-game settings of said particular game.

In Global Settings...

  • Set Ambient Occlustion to OFF
  • Set Anisotropic filtering to Application-controlled
  • Set Antialiasing - FXAA to OFF
  • Set Antialiasing - Mode to Application-controlled
  • Set Antialiasing - Transparency to OFF
  • Set Maximum pre-rendered frames to Use the 3D application setting

Then in Program Settings, change particular games to your personal preference as some games need tweaking to different settings. Here's some notable settings I have set for GTA 5...

  • Anisotropic filtering - Application-controlled - This allows you to set it to what you wish in-game.
  • Antialiasing - FXAA - Use global setting (Off) - This allows you to still set FXAA to ON or OFF while in-game. I set mine to ON in-game.
  • Antialiasing - Mode - Use global setting (Application-controlled) - This you have to read to understand, hover over it to read it. I keep them both at A-c.
  • Antialiasing - Transparency - Use global setting (Off) - This allows you to use whatever AA you wish while in-game. I use MSAA x2 in-game.
  • Maximum pre-rendered frames - 1 (this will be different for different games) - I use 1 in GTA 5 and BF1 for example. Other games, I leave it at Use the 3D application setting. The results can vary so if anything just set it to Use global setting (Application-controlled) if you notice no difference using 1.

Be sure to hover over everything as you are tweaking to read about what you're actually doing because it can be confusing at first and as I mentioned, results can vary.
