Which laptop is better for 1080p and 4K video editing?  How much difference does the older CPU make, and is this redeemed by having more RAM and a slightly better CPU?

Razer Blade 17
RM6,349.00
i7-7820HK
Windows 10 Pro
32GB RAM
512GB SSD

4K Touch 17"

GTX 1080

Dell XPS 15(7590)

RM7,949.00
Intel Core i7-9750H
Windows 10 Home
16GB RAM

512GB
4K OLED Non Touch

GeForce GTX1650

Thanks for your help,

xps is better plain and simple. the display is much more color accurate and bright.

beware of the oled brightness issues in the oled model of the xps.

32gb on the razer will help but imo, OUT OF THOSE 2 ONLY, the xps is a much better VIDEO/PHOTO editing laptop

Work in a school so money is important.  Is the Razer an acceptable downgrade if I am saving 300USD?  Alternatively can you recommend any other laptops that have the same spec to the Dell, but are cheaper.  I've come across the Acer Nitros 5 and the Lenovo Legion - which look decent but are a slight downgrade..

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

if you are doing content creation, you need a good screen which is color accurate. xps is the only laptop i am aware of that has that. you can always buy from the outlet store on dell. they are refurbished but they feature the EXACT same warranty coverage. imo, there is no downside in buying the "refurbished" model. they are refurbished by dell and dell covers the waranty. they can be significantly cheaper on the outlett store.

just search dell outlett to get to that store

update: they have run out of xps 15 on the outlett store. you can wait, or buy new.
