For X570 I’d recommend the asus TUF Gaming, and is drop down to 16gb ram, but get 3600mhz, and a 3600x. Ryzen likes fast ram

Gaming Build:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x   |  GPU: Asus ROG STRIX 2080 SUPER Advanced (2115Mhz Core | 9251Mhz Memory) |  Motherboard: Asus X570 TUF GAMING-PLUS  |  RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3600MHz 16GB  |  PSU: Corsair RM850x  |  Storage: 1TB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro, 250GB Samsung 840 Evo, 500GB Samsung 840 Evo  |  Cooler: Corsair H115i Pro XT  |  Case: Lian Li PC-O11

Peripherals:

Monitor: LG 34GK950F  |  Sound: Sennheiser HD 598  |  Mic: Blue Yeti  |  Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum  |  Mouse: Logitech G502

Laptop:

Asus ROG Zephryus G15

Ryzen 7 4800HS, GTX1660Ti, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz, 512GB nVME, 144hz

Case aesthetics are a matter of opinion.  I’ve seen a lot of people recommending the meshify c lately.

i tend towards the cheapest least adorned case i can find myself.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

That’s the b450, I would personally get the X570 version

No need for X570 unless you plan on going maybe a 3900/3950 (or next gen??) later in life.
A B350/B450 or maybe X470 if ithe price is right, is all thats needed.
*Annoying if you need to flash bios in it tho.. but something you need to consider, the tomahawks are good for that.
**But i did read somewhere that if they're made after X date, that the bios's are flashed already??

16gb all thats needed, stick to 3200cl14 or 3600cl16 - you can turn the rgb off, or set to one color if thats you're flavor, it will open up alot of options as the gskill neo is pretty good.

wouldn't bother with the H60, the stock cooler will net same performance.
Im a fan (haha...) of air coolers, be quite if you want all black or check out the noctua's (NH-U12A ouft what a beast)
I found my corsair H100 (have had a v2 and a plat rgb) to be a little on the loud side. My NHU12A keeps the same temps at less volume.
But I bet I could have had the best of both worlds if I had of just swapped the fans over to NF A12x25s.

Granted, im looking at the evga hybrids (google bought me here) - but only because my case is limited to 2.25-2.5 slot cards, and most 2080supers are 2.5-2.75 which makes it really difficult. But I will be replacing the fan with a NF A12x25.
