Hi guys, I built a PC for a friend, the specs are:
i9 9900KF
MSI Z390 Gaming pro carbon
16GB DDR4 @ 3600mhz
EVGA 2080FTW3
EVGA SUPERNOVA G2 750W
I built the thing and when I turn it on everything lights up/spin correctly except the GPU, the frontal led doesn't even light up, and I get one red debug led above the power connectors and of course I get no video signal, tried HDMI and DP, the card is connected to the power supply with two 6+2 pcie connectors coming from separate ports on the supply, I already tried different ports and cables, I even tried the other pcie slot on the board with no luck.
I was pretty sure the card was dead out of the box or something but I tried to plug it on my rig (i5 6600k / MSI z170A / 16gb DDR4 @ 2400mhz / Supernova G3 650W) and it works perfectly, frontal led turning on, no debug led and ofc I get video signal just fine.

I am out of ideas and in need of help!
Thanks.

I would try powering his system with your PSU. If your system boots and he doesn't, then its most likely something to do with the PSU.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus ROG Strix B650E / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil/ EVGA 750W GQ / NZXT H5 Flow

Thanks, I will try, can I just swap around the PSU itself and connect it to the already setted up cables?

I think you can because G2 and G3 PSU have same cables.

it is actually the SuperNOVA GS 650W, no idea why I wrote G3 here, it should be fine still? The cables looks the same to me apart from the braided cover on the G2 ones.

That is a different story. I believe GS and G2/3 are not compatible.

After quite a bit of testing it looks like it is not a GPU problem but possibly a CPU/RAM/Mobo/I have no idea problem, I'll open a new post because the actual problem has nothing to do with this title, thanks for helping
