My laptop is Lenovo E590. The specs are:

- 8th gen Core i7-8565U Processor ( 1.80GHz 8MB )

- Radeon rx 550x 2 GB graphics (1176 MHz 128 Bit)

- 8 GB ddr4 ram

I tried to play GTA 4 but it ran with minimum graphics.

Is it possible to run Witcher 3 at medium graphics?

Can I do anything to run it better?

You should be able to run it

but I can't tell on which details and with which framerate.

Should be alright at 720p

But do you already own all these games?

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

I was going to suggest a free game subscription service called a "VPN" anyways. It's useful for demoing games anyways.

The chart says minimum 3.3 ghz processor required. Can my 1.8 ghz i7 handle it?

If the game is free just run it anyways...Your CPU is just going to limit the max fps you can get in games, also it can boost higher than 1.8ghz

your GPU will limit the resolution/quality settings

You can most likely play it.  At acceptable framerates and resolution? Probably not.

2GB Radeon GPU is really really weak unfortunately.

I'd just try it out,  you can always do a refund on Steam if it doesn't work...

My recommendation would be start with 480p,  lowest settings possible,  use Afterburner to monitor framerates, see how it goes,  if it's at least somewhat playable,  up the settings a bit and see how it runs again... If it is *not* playable,  try a lower resolution obviously.

It's not really that hard to find good settings for pretty much any given game on low tier equipment,  but it's usually much,  much lower than people think and the Witcher 3 is a very demanding title

Tldr:  just try it out!   :)

Yes. But that GPU is going to keep you from bumping up several graphic settings.

Upgrade the GPU or play on the lowest settings or lower resolutions. Lean on that i7 by bumping up settings that don't use much VRAM or hit your fps in a major way. The game looks and plays very well on any settings as shown at the 2:16 mark of this video. Bare in mind the GPU above has 4GB of VRAM.
