Hello.

So, I want something rather specific. But I can't find anything around these specs that is high quality. Just low end displays.

Gaming

1920x1080 resolution in 16:9 format

IPS panel (I don't like how TN looks, VA might get a pass if the monitor overall is amazing)

Around 24 inches (Please, no 27 inchers or gigantic 30+ inch monitors)

Flat display. No curved monitors.

Freesync. Not mandatory.

Higher refresh rates along the 120/ 144hz spot are appreciated but not mandatory.

QUALITY DISPLAY. Again, can't stress this enough. So many super cheap low quality displays I came across.

Ok...Now that's out of the way. Here are some of the displays that I looked over. Countless reviews from users and critics. Reasons why I don't want them off the top of my head: pixelization in solid colors, flickering, common dead pixels and high backlight bleed, extremely bright even on the lowest brightness setting, poor color accuracy, shaky monitor stand, flimsy power cable. No, I can't remember which model had each specific problem.

This is the one I got. Arrived with a dead pixel. Returned it. The viewing angles and uniformity were quite bad for an IPS panel. For some unknown reason it made my eyes hurt. Yes, I calibrated it properly, including brightness, contrast and gamma. No, I haven't had my eyes hurt on other monitors. https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming-monitors/24g2u-bk

Couldn't find anything on this one. Any opinions? https://www.asus.com/Monitors/TUF-GAMING-VG259Q/

Are there really no good monitors around the specs I want?

Thank you in advance for your support.

AOC 24G2U, theres no other that fit your requirements so. its the first 1080p 24" 144+Hz IPS

"MBR  (Motion Blur Reduction) - We found it accelerated visual fatigue and preferred the normal flicker-free operation of the monitor, but sensitivity to flickering varies "

MBR may have been activated by default. I didn't even know it can cause eye strain. Still, the monitor had other issues.
