Okay so I'm building a budget midrange pc (not budget like it is cheap, it just means I'm just on a budget and I need the best performance for the money), and since the motherboard doesn't do much for the specs except when overclocking the CPU, I decided to cheap out a bit and to take a B450M DS3H. I will have a Ryzen 5 2600 + a RTX 2060 with 2x8 2666MHz (I know not great, but it's too late).

Is it okay to have that mobo for my build? If not, what better options do I have at the same price and also, how can I tell if a motherboard is good or not? Sorry for all the questions at once, but since it's almost black friday, I need to be fast lmao.

swap out for B450m Pro4. is better in pretty much every regard.

the DS3H is a board that time and time again is a culprit for issue people experience

Oh also I forgot to mention but I'm scared my ram won't be compatible (G.Skill Value 2x8 Gb 2666MHz CL19). I saw someone on youtube making a build with the DS3H and these ram sticks and he had no issues. I mean, it will still PROBABLY work with the Pro4 just like any DDR4 stick but I'm still scared. Also, I saw some people having bios issues with the Pro4, so I don't know... But if everything should work, I will take it.

You wont have issue running that ram. But thats pretty poor ram....... Nothing else on offer? Like 3000mhz cl16 or 2666mhz cl16?

It will work. Your ram is equivelent to stock 2133mhz cl16 ram....... (Roughly speaking)

The CPU and mobo can handle 3200mhz no problem.

Thats related to third gen. Not to do with second gen or earlier. And is not an issue as much as they just need to update the Bios.

No, I bought months ago and I can't return it so yeah. I'll 100% upgrade it to 3000 MHz later though.
